Mrs. Czapansky had served many years as a practical nurse to Woodlawn hospital. She<br />

was a member of the Rebekah lodge, Woman’s Benefit Association and the First Baptist church.<br />

Surviving, besides the husband, is one son, Marvin Owen [CZAPANSKY], South Bend.<br />

An infant son preceded her in death.<br />

Robert Virl Brugh<br />

Funeral services were held this morning in South Bend for Robert Virl BRUGH, 78, 916<br />

South 35th street, South Bend, who dies at 7:40 a.m. Saturday in Memorial hospital at South<br />

Bend. He had been ill several months.<br />

Burial was in the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

Born in Leiters Ford, Sept. 3, 1880, he had moved to South Bend in 1923. He was<br />

married in 1901 to Carrie CALDWELL, who survives. Mr. Brugh was a retired Studebaker<br />

Corporation employee.<br />

Surviving are two sons, Leonard and Raymond [BRUGH], both of South Bend; two<br />

daughters, Mrs. Mildred KINSER and Mrs. Eudore FERRO, both of South Bend; five<br />

grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dean [BRUGH], New Carlidsle, ands<br />

Sidney [BRUGH], Mishawaka, and two sisters, Mae BRUGH, Mishawaka, and Mrs. Ray<br />

OVERMYER, Rochester.<br />

George L. Williams<br />

Funeral rites were conducted this afternoon in Culver for George Leo WILLIAMS, 74,<br />

Delong, who died Saturday afternoon in the home of a daughter, Mrs. William LATTA in<br />

Rochester. He had been ill several months.<br />

Burial was in the Leitrs Ford I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

Born in Starke county west of Culver, he had spent most of his life in that area, residing<br />

in Delong the last 11 years. He was a member of the Methodist church.<br />

Surviving are the wife, Emma Evelyn [WILLIAMS]; five daughters, Mrs. LATTA and<br />

Miss Fern WILLIAMS, both of Rochester, and Frances, Ina and Linda [WILLIAMS], all at home;<br />

and Arthur [WILLIAMS], with the Marine Corps in California; one sister, Mrs. Ada TEELE,<br />

Knox; one brother, Charles [WILLIAMS], Delong, and five grandchildren.<br />

Mrs. Fred Stayton<br />

Mrs. Fred STAYTON, 69, died Monday at 9:45 p.m. in her home at Leiters Ford after a<br />

year’s illness.<br />

Born Sept. 13, 1889, in Leiters Ford, she was the daughter of Amos and Ellen BRUCE<br />

OVERMYER. She was married Dec. 13, 1908, at Richland Center to Fred L. STAYTON, who<br />

survives.<br />

An active member of the Leiters Ford Methodist church, she belonged to the church’s<br />

W.S.C.S.<br />

Surviving, besides the husband, are one daughter, Mrs. Ethel SHIRK, Phoenix, Ariz.;<br />

three sons, Paul [STAYTON], R.R. 4, Rochester; Guy [STAYTON], Leiters Ford; Ralph<br />

[STAYTON], at home; one sister, Mrs. Wanda HOSKINS, Hyden, Ky.; one granddaughter, Jan<br />

Ellen STAYTON, Leiters Ford, and several nieces and nephews.
