Harry Foglesong<br />

Harry [FOGLESONG], 76, long-time Kewanna house painter, died early Monday<br />

morning following surgery in Parvies [?], Fla. Mr. Foglesong made his home in Kewanna, but<br />

was spending the winter in Florida and had not yet returned home.<br />

Mr. Foglesong had been in the painting business for many years with his brother, Ralph<br />

[FOGLESONG].<br />

Surviving are his wife, the former Frances STACY of Albion; a sister, Mrs. Laura<br />

HAYBES, Orlando, Fla.; another brother, Don [FOGLESONG], and several nieces and nephews.<br />

His first wife, the former Marie RENO, preceded him in death.<br />

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Harrison funeral home at Kewanna with the<br />

Rev. Charles COOK officiating. Burial will be in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

Alta Dickey<br />

Mrs. Alta DICKEY, 80, died this morning at 3:50 o’clock in Woodlawn hospital, where<br />

she had been a patient 10 days. Mrs. Dickey, who resided on R.R. 2, Akron, had been ill the past<br />

2 1/2 months.<br />

Born Dec. 1, 1878, in Kosciusko county, she had resided her entire life in the Beavr Dam<br />

community. She was married Nov. 19, 1898, to Frank DICKEY,who died in March, 1957. Her<br />

parents were Isaac and Julia WIDEMAN ENGLE.<br />

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Waldo (Mabel) ADAMS, and Mrs. Willis (Mary)<br />

BOWEN; one son, Elmer DICKEY, all of R.R. 2, Akron; five grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren<br />

Funerl services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Beaver Dam E.U.B. church with the<br />

Rev. Lloyd OVERMYER officiating. Burial will be in the Nichols cemetery north of Akron.<br />

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Moyer-Haupert funeral home in Akron until noon<br />

Thursday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state from 1-2 p.m.<br />

Glen Conrad<br />

Glen CONRAD, 51, Logansport, died of a heart attack at 1:30 a.m. today in his home<br />

after being ill for one week.<br />

Born on Sept. 28, 1907, near <strong>Fulton</strong>, he was the son of Madison and Sarah Ellen BLOOM<br />

CONRAD. He had lived near <strong>Fulton</strong> until his marriage on May 4, 1940, to Hazel SMITH, who<br />

survives.<br />

He was employed bye Jackson Kitchel company of Logansport as a shop foreman.<br />

Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Sue Ellen [CONRAD], at home; two sisters,<br />

Mrs. Berniece NICKEL and Mrs. Claude (Esther) ARVEN, both of near <strong>Fulton</strong> and several nieces<br />

and nephews.<br />

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the <strong>Fulton</strong> Baptist church with the Rev. William<br />

KEITH officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at<br />

the Ditmire funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong>.
