Hannah L. Felder<br />
Mrs. Hannah L. FELDER, 63, Kewanna, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rochester<br />
nursing home, where she had been a patient for the last year.<br />
Born Dec. 20, 1895, in North Liberty, she was the daughter of Henry E. and Sarah<br />
BATES EISENMENGER. On March 9, 1929, she was married in South Bend to Grant C.<br />
FELDER. Mr. Felder, who owns two farms in the Kewanna area, has been living in Rensselaer<br />
recently. Mrs. Felder was a member of the Kewanna Methodist church.<br />
Surviving, besides the hsband, are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne WILLIAMS, Miamisburg, O.;<br />
a son, Carroll [FELDER], Kewanna; a grandson, Timothy Wayne WILLIAMS, and a niece, Mrs.<br />
George W. FELDER. A daughter died in infancy.<br />
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Harrison chapel at Kewanna with the Rev.<br />
Charles W. COOK officiating. Burial will be in the Moon cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />
Harrison fneral home in Kewanna this evening.<br />
Bessie Taylor<br />
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Leiters Ford Methodist church for<br />
Mrs. Bessie TAYLOR, 77, Chicago, widow of the late Norman G. TAYLOR. Mrs. Taylor died<br />
Monday at her home in Chicago, where she had lived since 1905.<br />
Born near Leiters Ford, she was the oldest daugher of Benjamin and Malinda SALES<br />
STAHL, among the area’s pioneer residents.<br />
Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie [TAYLOR], Harvey, Ill.; one granddaughter; one<br />
brother, Vern STAHL, Huntington; one sister, Mrs. Carl HAY, Mexico, and several nieces. A<br />
cousin, Kline SALES, died Friday. Burial was in the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />
Virginist Rentschler<br />
Mrs. Clarence [Virginist) RENTSCHLER, 49, who resided a half-mile east of <strong>Fulton</strong>,<br />
died this morning at 1 o’clock in Woodlawn hospital, where she had been a patient three weeks.<br />
Death came after an 18-month illness.<br />
Born Virginist CALLAWAY on July 8, 1909, in Liberty township, she was the daughter<br />
of Howard P. and Lena MATHEWS CALLAWAY. She had spent her entire life in the <strong>Fulton</strong><br />
community. Her marriage was Jan. 19, 1929, near <strong>Fulton</strong> to Clarence RENTSCHLER, who<br />
survives. Mrs. Rentschler was a member of the <strong>Fulton</strong> Baptist church, Order of Eastern Star and<br />
the Daughters of the American Revolution. She long had been active in church and community<br />
affairs.<br />
Surviving, besides the husband, are four daughters, Mrs. Donald (Lettie Jane)<br />
LEININGER, <strong>Fulton</strong>; Mrs. Oris (Mary) BAKER, R.R. 6, Rochester; Mrs. Richard (Janice)<br />
EARLY, R.R. 6, Rochester, and Mrs. Robert (Joyce) POWLEN, R.R. 6, Rochester; eleven<br />
grandchildren and one brother, Robert CALLAWAY, Mishawaka.<br />
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the <strong>Fulton</strong> Baptist church with the Rev. E.<br />
E. KEITH officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery. Friends may call at the Ditmire<br />
funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong> after 7:30 p.m. today.
