Data is posted in the data room for all grades. Third - Sixth
grade teachers met with the Principal and Staff Development
Teacher to review data from benchmarks Unit 1 & 2 (we
had created our own assessment and administered prior to
Christmas Break). Reteaching, coteaching, and small pullouts
are being implemented based on those results. This process
will take place again after each benchmark assessment.
3. Teachers will meet monthly with Librarian, Fine Arts teachers, and Mr. Thompson (Music) to
plan for and implement differentiated strategies of instruction to better meet individual students
learning needs.

Teacher received in house training on classroom transitions
and attention getters for students. Teachers were given 10
transition ideas to choose. Only three school wide transitions
or/ attention getters were selected to be used in assemblies or
whole school setting.
Other transitions ideals could be used throughout the day.
These whole strategies will be revisited to ensure that they are
being used among the staff.

Staff will attend Thinking Maps training on October 20, 2011 at Gilcrease Elementary. Each
attendee will receive a teacher's edition handbook coupled with a scope sequence timeline to
ensure when each of the eight Thinking Maps will be taught. These maps will help to intergrate
all content areas and provide a common language for learning throughout the site.
