In August 2011, 80% of the teaching staff at Walt Whitman
participated in a district wide online Instructional Survey that
allowed them to reflect on the critical components of
Implementation and Professional Development.
2. Computer lab assistant maintains and operates a computer lab in which students attend at
least once a week and are involved in online instruction through the use of Compass Learning,
online assessments, research, etc.

Inservice is conducted each summer in June with the ILT to
review student data and determine what needs need to be
addressed with Title1 Funds. Teachers were recently trained
on Systems 44 and additional kits were purchased to support
that effort. Envision Intervention resource kits and My
Sidewalks kits were purchased for reading and math due to
DIBELS, OCCT, and Benchmark data showing our students
were showing weaknesses in these areas.
