Administrator is responsible for <strong>the</strong> daily operations of <strong>the</strong> City. City departments are<br />

Administration, Animal Control, City Clerk, Community Development, Economic Development,<br />

Finance, Municipal Court, Police, Public Works, and Utilities.<br />

Land Use and Development Trends<br />

In 2010, <strong>the</strong> population of Spring Hill was 5,437 people, an increase of 2,710 since <strong>the</strong> 2000<br />

census. Land area of <strong>the</strong> City is 3.45 square miles, with a population density of 1,576 people<br />

per square mile.<br />

Technical and Fiscal Resources<br />

The Planning Coordinator holds many positions in <strong>the</strong> City of Spring Hill, serving as Floodplain<br />

Manager, Emergency Manager, and is knowledgeable of land development and management<br />

practices for <strong>the</strong> City. Johnson County Fire District No. 2 provides fire and rescue services to<br />

<strong>the</strong> City. Table 2.20 details staff and technical resources for Spring Hill.<br />
