According to the set level B2/C1, students will be able to understand export-related
texts, communicate rather spontaneously, express their opinion clearly and
understandably and give reasons for or against certain options. They will also be able to
prepare and lead a discussion on export related topics.
Achieving the expected learning outcomes means:
� Students have a clear and understandable pronunciation
� Students understand subject-related texts, can summarize and comment them in
their own words
� Students can express their opinion in appropriate terms and an appropriate way
� Students have sound grammar control and are able to correct mistakes in
retrospect

Course Description
The course will cover the following main topics: international trade and globalisation;
export techniques; transports; payments; commercial alliances. Furthermore,
summarizing and commenting business texts will be trained. Students will also focus on
structures that help them to present the various details of controversial subjects
(presenting pros and cons of topics and drawing effective conclusions). All in all, students
should get a precise picture illustrating the fascinating world of export.

Teaching Methods
The three main linguistic competencies – understanding, speaking, and writing – will be
trained through discussions, text studies, group work and assignments.
Students will be encouraged to express themselves on the treated subjects. Dialogues
(taped), videos and texts will introduce the topics thus demanding the students to
understand and react. Exercises will lead to a better understanding of the topics, the
correct use of the relevant terminology and develop the language competence both in
oral and in written.
The course will be run like a seminar, so students' active participation in discussions
based on topic preparation is not only requested but crucial. They will also be trained in
how to lead a discussion and to react spontaneously and give reasons for or against
certain options.
