The main objective of the microbiology lab course is to make the students familiar with
the basic concepts and techniques of microbiology such as handling bacteria, yeasts and
fungi, sterile working, using the microscope, staining bacteria and preparation of media
and solutions. Methods of growing, isolating and identifying microorganisms as well as
eliminating them are covered.

Course Description
Microbiology lab course is adjusted to the growth rates of the used microorganisms and
therefore blocked. During the main part of the course the groups are rotating through the
experiments.
