Saving zoom range <strong>and</strong> scroll position with bookmarks<br />

<strong>ModelSim</strong> <strong>SE</strong> User’s <strong>Manual</strong><br />

Bookmarks save a particular zoom range <strong>and</strong> scroll position. This lets you return easily to<br />

a specific view later. You save the bookmark with a name <strong>and</strong> then access the named<br />

bookmark from the Bookmark menu. Bookmarks are saved in the Wave format file (see<br />

"Adding objects with a window format file" (UM-244)) <strong>and</strong> are restored when the format file<br />

is read.<br />

Managing bookmarks<br />

The table below summarizes actions you can take with bookmarks.<br />

Adding bookmarks<br />

To add a bookmark, follow these steps:<br />

1 Zoom the wave window as you see fit using one of the techniques discussed in "Zooming<br />

the Wave window display" (UM-249).<br />

2 Select Edit > Insert Bookmark.<br />

3 Give the bookmark a name <strong>and</strong> click OK.<br />

Editing Bookmarks<br />

Once a bookmark exists, you can change its properties by selecting Tools > Bookmarks.<br />

See "Modify Breakpoints dialog" (GR-249) for more details.
