<strong>ModelSim</strong> <strong>SE</strong> User’s <strong>Manual</strong><br />

Create New File<br />

The Create New File comm<strong>and</strong> lets you create a new VHDL, Verilog, SystemC, Tcl, or<br />

text file using the Source editor. You can also access this comm<strong>and</strong> by selecting File > Add<br />

to Project > New File or right-clicking (2nd button in Windows; 3rd button in UNIX) in<br />

the Project tab <strong>and</strong> selecting Add to Project > New File.<br />

Specify a name, file type, <strong>and</strong> folder location for the new file. See "Create Project File<br />

dialog" (GR-43) for additional details on this dialog.<br />

When you select OK, the file is listed in the Project tab.<br />

Add Existing File<br />

You can also access this comm<strong>and</strong> by selecting File > Add to Project > Existing File or<br />

by right-clicking (2nd button in Windows; 3rd button in UNIX) in the Project tab <strong>and</strong><br />

selecting Add to Project > Existing File.<br />

When you select OK, the file(s) is added to the Project tab.
