Preference variables located in INI files<br />

<strong>ModelSim</strong> <strong>SE</strong> User’s <strong>Manual</strong><br />

<strong>ModelSim</strong> initialization (INI) files contain control variables that specify reference library<br />

paths <strong>and</strong> compiler <strong>and</strong> simulator settings. The default initialization file is modelsim.ini <strong>and</strong><br />

is located in your install directory.<br />

To set these variables, edit the initialization file directly with any text editor. The syntax for<br />

variables in the file is:<br />

Comments within the file are preceded with a semicolon ( ; ).<br />

The following tables list the variables by section, <strong>and</strong> in order of their appearance within<br />

the INI file:<br />
