UM-50 2 - Projects Organizing projects with folders Adding a folder ModelSim SE User’s Manual The more files you add to a project, the harder it can be to locate the item you need. You can add "folders" to the project to organize your files. These folders are akin to directories in that you can have multiple levels of folders and sub-folders. However, no actual directories are created via the file system–the folders are present only within the project file. To add a folder to your project, select File > Add to Project > Folder or right-click in the Project tab and select Add to Project > Folder. Specify the Folder Name, the location for the folder, and click OK. The folder will be displayed in the Project tab.
Organizing projects with folders UM-51 You use the folders when you add new objects to the project. For example, when you add a file, you can select which folder to place it in. If you want to move a file into a folder later on, you can do so using the Properties dialog for the file (right-click on the file and select Properties from the context menu). On Windows platforms, you can also just drag-and-drop a file into a folder. ModelSim SE User’s Manual
