people of Bhutan have a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation to the armed
forces for their selfless services at a time when the country is going through a
very difficult period. The country's gallant soldiers are the true sons of Bhutan.
Their loyalty and services have evoked deep admiration, respect and confidence
provided with every necessary support.
The Chairman conveyed the gratitude of the Council of Ministers to the
outgoing members of the Royal Advisory Council for their hard work and
dedication in discharging their responsibilities competently. He expressed his
hope and desire that they would continue to work for the well being of the
people and the government. He also extended Tashi Delek to the newly elected
members of the Royal Advisory Council.
Although the country faces a daunting security problem, he expressed his
confidence that the security and sovereignty of the country can be strengthened
and sustained by the blessings of the guardian deities of the Palden Drukpa, the
enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King and the unfailing loyalty of the
people. He concluded by praying for His Majesty the King’s long life and
continuous reign.
