honourable members in advance. The Speaker concluded by expressing his hope<br />

that the election of the councilors would be held fairly in conformity to the<br />

standard official procedure.<br />

II. Election of the People’s Representative to the Royal Advisory Council<br />

Since the three-year term of the six people’s representative to the Royal<br />

Advisory Council would come to an end on October 31, 2001, the following<br />

contestants from the twenty Dzongkhags participated in the election at the<br />
