About the author<br />

Dr Nick Economou is a senior lecturer in politics in the School of Social Science at<br />

Monash University where he teaches <strong>Australian</strong> politics <strong>and</strong> government. He is also<br />

a media commentator on <strong>Australian</strong> state <strong>and</strong> national politics.<br />
