Exam Tip Separator pages identify and separate print jobs, and can also be used to switch
a printer to a different print mode. Windows XP includes four separator pages: sysprint.sep,
pcl.sep, pscript.sep, and sysprtj.sep. Sysprint.sep is the most commonly used page.
To Set Up a Separator Page
When you have decided to use a separator page and have chosen an appropriate one,
use the Advanced tab in the printer’s Properties dialog box to have the separator page
printed at the beginning of each print job.
To set up a separator page, complete the following steps:
1. In the Properties dialog box for the printer, on the Advanced tab (see Figure 12-4),
click Separator Page.
