Set a notification In the Notify text box, type the logon
name of the user who should receive
the notification. By default, Windows
XP Professional enters the
name of the user who printed the
document.
Change a document
priority
Schedule print
times
Practice: Managing Documents
Move the Priority slider to the priority
level that you want. The highest priority
is 99, and the lowest is 1.
To restrict print times, select Only
From in the Schedule section, and
then set the hours between which
you want the document to print.
Change the print notification when
someone other than the user who
printed the document needs to
retrieve it.
Change a priority so that a critical
document prints before other documents.
Set the print time for a large document
so that it prints during offhours,
such as late at night.
In this practice, you manage documents by printing a document, setting a notification
for a document, changing the priority for a document, and then canceling a document.
Complete the following exercises, and answer any questions that are asked. You can
find answers to these questions in the “Questions and Answers” section at the end of
this chapter. To complete this practice, you must have completed the exercises in
Chapter 11.
