5. In the Available Standalone Snap-Ins dialog box, click Resultant Set Of Policy, and
then click Add.
6. Click Close, and then click OK.
In the console window, Windows displays the Resultant Set Of Policy, as shown
in Figure 16-6.

7. Right-click Resultant Set of Policy, and then click Generate RSoP Data.
Windows opens the Resultant Set Of Policy Wizard.
8. On the Welcome page, click Next to continue.
9. On the Mode Selection page, ensure that Logging Mode is selected, and then click
Next.
10. On the Computer Selection page, choose whether you want to display policy settings
for This Computer or for Another Computer. If you want to view settings for
a remote computer, you must enter the name of the remote computer. Click Next
to continue.
11. On the User Selection page, choose whether you want to display policy settings
for the Current User or Another User. Click Next to continue.
12. On the Summary Of Selections page, click Next to proceed.
Windows analyzes the policy settings in effect, and then displays the Completing
The Resultant Set Of Policy Wizard page.
13. Click Finish.
14. In the console window, browse the policy settings to determine the current computer
settings and their source GPOs.
