10. In the Share Name text box, type the share name of the folder. Optionally, you can<br />

also type a description for the folder.<br />

If you typed the name of a folder that does not exist in the Folder To Share text<br />

box, a dialog box appears that asks you if you want to create the new folder. If it<br />

does, click Yes.<br />

The Create A Shared Folder Wizard displays the Shared Folder Permissions page,<br />

which offers the options shown in Table 17-4.<br />

12. Select the kind of permission you want to use for the shared folder, and then click<br />

Next.<br />

How to Share a Folder on a Remote Computer by Using Shared Folders<br />

If you want to share a folder on a remote computer, you use the Computer Management<br />

window to connect to the remote computer.<br />

Note Using Computer Management (or the Shared Folders snap-in) is the only way to share<br />

a folder on a remote computer. Otherwise, you need to be physically located at the computer<br />

where the folder resides to share it.<br />

To share a folder on a remote computer, use these steps:<br />
