Listed in this order by Gellius (19.9.10) <strong>and</strong> Apuleius {Apol. 9). Aedituus called 'old'<br />

(ueteris poetae) by Gellius; Licinus wrote after the death of Terence (c. 159 B.C.;<br />

FPL 45); Catulus was consul 102 B.C. <strong>and</strong> wrote on Roscius (b. 134 B.C.). On dating<br />

see Ross (below) 141.<br />

WORKS<br />

Four short erotic elegiac epigrams preserved by Gellius: two by Aedituus, one each<br />

by Licinus <strong>and</strong> Catulus; one epigram by Catulus preserved by Cicero {Nat. D. 1.79).<br />

Licinus also wrote in trochaics on the early history of Rome.<br />
