fourth or fifth century A.D. containing most of Terence. The photograph shows Phormio 179-223. Whereas in<br />

the Gallus papyrus (Plate III) the words are separated by dots (interpuncts), the copyist here has followed the<br />

fashion that became normal after the second century A.D. of continuous writing without word-division (scriptura<br />
