WORKS<br />

Aratea: 686 lines (in MSS, Claudi Caesaris Arati Phaenomena), an adapted translation<br />

of Aratus' Phaenomena. Apostrophe to Augustus at 558 implies he is dead: genitor at 2<br />

is Tiberius. Domitian, who also took title Germanicus, has been unnecessarily canvassed<br />

for authorship. Epigrams: Anth. Lat. 708, which has a Greek version (Anth.<br />

Pal. 9.387), Anth. Lat. 709 (= Anth. Pal. 7.542), Anth. Pal. 9.17-18 (see also Pliny,<br />

N.H. 8.55). Greek comedies (Suet. Cat. 3.2, Claud. 11.2). Ovid addresses him at Fast.<br />

1.19, Pont. 2.5.55 ar >d 4.8.
