(1) Bellum Catilinae, pubd c. 42, and Bellum lugurthinum, pubd c. 40: historical monographs,
each in a single book. Historiae: preserved by over 500 fragments covering the
years 78—67, including four complete speeches and two complete letters; begun c. 39
and left incomplete in bk 5 at S.'s death.
(2) Spurious. Two Epistulae ad Caesarem senem de re publica, and In M. Tullium
Ciceronem invectiva: probably emanate from the rhetorical schools.
