In (98), -qeuh '3r' is the suffixal form of pronoun<br />

qopnvan 'her, sher,' which is the subjec of the sentence. In<br />

(101), -qeuh is used because the subject NP ureueng nvan<br />

'that person' is equivalent to pronoun goonvan. -l5n 'lsg'<br />

in (99) and -meuh 'lpexc' in (100) are the suffix forms of<br />

pronouns lor. T' and kamoe 'weexc' respectively.<br />

3.3.3 Verb Phrase Structure<br />

This section consists of a brief description of verb<br />

phrase structure and subsections dealing with tenses,<br />

aspects, moods, and the positions of adverbs and particles.<br />

A verb phrase consists of a verb or an adjective as its<br />

core element and some other optional constituents, such as<br />

NP's, PP's, complement clauses or S's, aspect words, modals,<br />

adverbs, and particles. In addition to these, a verb or an<br />

adjective may be accompanied by an obligatory or optional<br />

agreement markers, the pronominal proclitics or enclitics.<br />

Except for adverbs and particles, these constituents occur<br />

in the following order.
