There is another option that is used when the subject<br />

of the complement needs to be expressed. Instead of using di<br />

and a pronoun, a reflexive pronoun is used. This is more<br />

common than using a pronoun with di. Unlike the other two<br />

options, here the enclitic is usually not used, especially<br />

when the reflexive pronoun is immediately followed by the<br />

adjective. This is because two enclitics on two successive<br />

words often sound awkward.<br />

It should be noted that the reflexive pronoun is not in<br />

the object position of the higher clause. This is clearly<br />

indicated by the intonational break between the verb and the<br />

reflexive pronoun.<br />
