These examples show that the normal way to relativize<br />

an object or a dative in Acehnese is by making it the<br />

subject of the sentence. The second method is only used when<br />

there is a need to make a comparison as described above.<br />

6.1.5.2 Topicalized NP's versus Fronted NP's<br />

It is important to note that the fronted NP (object or<br />

dative) discussed in 6.1.5.1.2 (Method Two) above is not a<br />

topicalized NP. Topicalized NP is marked by topicalization<br />

intonation discussed in 3.2.4. A topicalized NP is stressed.<br />
