There are three possible forms of sentence when an NP<br />

following a compound preposition is relativized: 1) the<br />

subject is placed after the verb; 2) the subject is<br />

cliticized to the verb; and 3) the subject is omitted (in<br />

context). A copy of relativized NP is optionally attached to<br />

the preposition. Each of the three possible forms is<br />

exemplified by (157b), (157c), and (157d) below. Unlike<br />

single prepositions, compound prepositions are not replaced<br />

when an NP following them is relativized.<br />
