Archiving a <strong>Configuration</strong> File<br />

Viewing <strong>the</strong> Archive Directory<br />

The archive directory is a hidden directory that <strong>FTOS</strong> does not display in <strong>the</strong> output of <strong>the</strong> command dir.<br />

View <strong>the</strong> archive directory using <strong>the</strong> command show archive from EXEC Privilege mode, as shown in<br />

Figure 51.<br />

Replacing <strong>the</strong> Current Running <strong>Configuration</strong><br />

Replace <strong>the</strong> current running configuration with an archived configuration using <strong>the</strong> command configure<br />

replace from EXEC Privilege mode.<br />

In Figure 52:<br />

1. The hostname of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Force10</strong> system is changed from “R1” to “<strong>Force10</strong>.”<br />

2. The running configuration is replaced with archive_0, in which <strong>the</strong> hostname is “R1.”<br />
