\Fast Convergence
Fast Converence allows you to define the speeds at which LSAs are originated and accepted, and reduce
OSPF end-to-end convergence time.
Note that the faster the convergence, the more frequent the route calculations and updates. This will impact
CPU utilization and may impace adjacency stability in larger topologies.
Use the following command in CONFIGURATION- ROUTER-OSPF mode to set the convergence speeds.
Command Syntax Command Mode Usage
fast converge convergence
CONFIG-ROUTER
-OSPF
Set the convergence level for the OSPF process.
The higher the number, the faster the OSPF
convergence.
Parameter: 1-4
