Configuring Auto-archive<br />

You can configure <strong>the</strong> system to archive <strong>the</strong> running-configuration periodically so that you do not have to<br />

archive manually. Configure auto-archiving using <strong>the</strong> command time-period from ARCHIVE mode. Note<br />

that if you do not make any changes to <strong>the</strong> running-configuration <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> configured length of time, <strong>the</strong>n<br />

<strong>the</strong> running-configuration is not archived, and periodic archiving pauses; it resumes when you make a<br />

change to <strong>the</strong> running-configuration.<br />

Copying and Deleting an Archive File<br />

Copy an archive file to ano<strong>the</strong>r location using <strong>the</strong> command archive backup, as shown in Figure 59.<br />

Delete an archive file using <strong>the</strong> command archive delete from CONFIG ARCHIVE mode.<br />
