Restoring the FPGA
In case of an image failure on the primary FPGA, the image on the backup FPGA can be loaded onto the
primary using the following commands:
Note: Only the primary FPGA can be restored.
Step Task Command Syntax Command Mode
1 Shut down all of the interfaces on the
card.
shutdown INTERFACE
2 Restore the image on the primary
FPGA for an RPM or line card.
restore fpga-image [rpm | linecard ] EXEC Privilege
3 Power-cycle the card. reset [rpm | linecard] power-cycle EXEC Privilege
Note: If the FPGA is not restored after the power-cycle, contact the Force10 Technical Assistance
Center.
