RPM High Availability <strong>Configuration</strong><br />

<strong>FTOS</strong> provides <strong>the</strong> following processes to manage RPM failover:<br />

• assign an RPM as primary on page 373 (optional)<br />

• synchronize data between two RPMs on page 374 (optional)<br />

• <strong>for</strong>ce an RPM failover on page 375 (optional)<br />

• copy files between RPMs on page 377 (optional)<br />

• specify <strong>the</strong> auto-failover-limit on page 377 (optional)<br />

• disable auto-reboot on page 377 (optional)<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>FTOS</strong> Command Line Interface Reference.<br />

assign an RPM as primary<br />

By default, <strong>FTOS</strong> assigns <strong>the</strong> RPM in slot R0 as <strong>the</strong> primary RPM.<br />

To change this configuration, use <strong>the</strong> following command in <strong>the</strong> CONFIGURATION mode:<br />

rpm1]<br />

CONFIGURATION Assign an RPM as <strong>the</strong> primary RPM.<br />

• rpm0: <strong>the</strong> RPM in slot R0<br />

• rpm1: <strong>the</strong> RPM in slot R1<br />

Use <strong>the</strong> show running-config redundancy command to view <strong>the</strong> configuration of <strong>the</strong> redundancy features.<br />

Use <strong>the</strong> show redundancy command to view <strong>the</strong> status of <strong>the</strong> RPM and its role as a primary or secondary<br />

RPM.<br />
