Limit <strong>the</strong> number of new groups that can be joined per second using <strong>the</strong> command ip igmp<br />

group-join-limit from INTERFACE mode.<br />

View <strong>the</strong> enable status of this feature using <strong>the</strong> command show ip igmp interface from EXEC Privilege<br />

mode, as shown in Figure 415.<br />

Enabling IGMP Immediate-leave<br />

If <strong>the</strong> querier does not receive a response to a group-specific or group-and-source query, it sends ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />

(Querier Robustness Value). Then, after no response, it removes <strong>the</strong> group from <strong>the</strong> outgoing interface <strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> subnet. You can configure <strong>the</strong> system to remove specified groups after <strong>the</strong> first query to reduce leave<br />

latency using <strong>the</strong> command ip igmp immediate-leave.<br />
