Replacing an Existing Line Card<br />

When a line card is replaced with ano<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>the</strong> system checks to ensure that <strong>the</strong> line card type is identical. If<br />

it is not, a mismatch error message (Message 20) is displayed. To clear this error and bring <strong>the</strong> card online,<br />

re-issue <strong>the</strong> linecard command, as shown in Figure 263.<br />

Inserting a Second RPM<br />

The C-<strong>Series</strong> system is functional with only one RPM. If a second RPM is inserted, it comes online as <strong>the</strong><br />

standby RPM.<br />
