Determining <strong>the</strong> Chassis Mode<br />

Determining <strong>the</strong> Chassis Mode is supported only on plat<strong>for</strong>m e<br />

The chassis mode in <strong>FTOS</strong> determines which hardware is being supported in a chassis: E<strong>the</strong>rScale,<br />

TeraScale or both. You can change <strong>the</strong> chassis mode using <strong>the</strong> command chassis from EXEC Privilege<br />

mode. The mode is programmed into an EEPROM on <strong>the</strong> backplane, and <strong>the</strong> change takes place only after<br />

<strong>the</strong> chassis is rebooted. Configuring <strong>the</strong> appropriate chassis mode enables <strong>the</strong> system to use all <strong>the</strong> ports on<br />

<strong>the</strong> card and recognize all software features.<br />
