Use <strong>the</strong> following command in EXEC Privileged mode to configure <strong>the</strong> debugging options of <strong>the</strong> OSPF<br />

process:<br />

Command Syntax Command Mode Usage<br />

debug ip ospf [event |<br />

packet | spf]<br />

Sample <strong>Configuration</strong>s<br />

EXEC Privileged View debug messages.<br />

To view all debug message, enter debug ip ospf.<br />

To view debug messages <strong>for</strong> a specific operation, enter<br />

one of <strong>the</strong> optional keywords:<br />

• event: view OSPF event messages<br />

• packet: view OSPF packet in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />

• spf: view shortest path first (spf) in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />

The following configurations are examples <strong>for</strong> enabling OSPF. These are not comprehensive directions.<br />

They are intended to give you a some guidance with typical configurations.<br />

You can copy and paste from <strong>the</strong>se examples to your CLI. Be sure you make <strong>the</strong> necessary changes to<br />

support your own IP Addresses, Interfaces, Names, etc.<br />
