Honoring dot1p values on ingress packets<br />

<strong>FTOS</strong> provides <strong>the</strong> ablity to honor dot1p values on ingress packets with <strong>the</strong> Trust dot1p feature on <strong>the</strong><br />

E-<strong>Series</strong>:e<br />

Enable Trust dot1p using <strong>the</strong> command trust dot1p from POLICY-MAP-IN mode. Table 56 specifies <strong>the</strong><br />

queue to which <strong>the</strong> classified traffic is sent based on <strong>the</strong> dot1p value.<br />

Apply an input policy map to an interface using <strong>the</strong> command service-policy input from INTERFACE<br />

mode. Specify <strong>the</strong> keyword layer2 if <strong>the</strong> polciy map you are applying a Layer 2 policy map; in this case,<br />

<strong>the</strong> INTERFACE must be in switchport mode. You can apply <strong>the</strong> same policy map to multiple interfaces,<br />

and you can modify a policy map after you apply it.<br />

• You cannot apply a class-map and QoS policies to <strong>the</strong> same interface.<br />
