›VS-Process‹ von lia zeigt auf eindrucksvolle Weise wie
sich Bild und Ton gegenseitig vorantreiben können. Der
Ausgangspunkt dieser Arbeit waren Bild- und Tonelemente,
die, von lia kodiert, von ihrem Gegenspieler
(Ton: Bizz Circuits) auf der Tonebene weiter verarbeitet
wurden, um dann wiederum visuell weiterentwickelt zu
werden. Der Austausch von Computer-Files und die Verarbeitung
der darin enthaltenen Information stehen im
Mittelpunkt; das Ergebnis präsentiert diesen kreativen
Prozess. VS-Process geht somit über die visuelle Illustration
einer musikalischen Idee, oder der Vertonung einer
visuellen Darstellung hinaus. Die Arbeit entsteht vielmehr,
wie schon der Titel verrät, im Gegeneinander.

Lia, Grafikprogrammiererin. Computerarbeit seit 1995.
›VS-Process‹ by lia is an impressive portrayal of how picture
and sound can drive each other. This work employed as its raw
material visual and acoustic elements that, after being coded by
lia, were processed further by her counterpart (sound: Bizz Circuits)
on the acoustic level. The result then underwent additional
visual development work. The exchange of Computer files and processing
of the Information they contain occupies the foreground,
and the final product illustrates this creative process. VS-Process
therefore goes beyond visual representation of a musical idea or
setting a visual representation to music. On the contrary this
work was created, as indicated by its title, through Opposition.

Die Monotonie des Lebens wird manchmal erschüttert.
Manchmal passieren unvorhergesehene Sachen.
Manchmal wird das Gleichmaß unterbrochen. Jan Jelineks
Musikstück ›Moire (Strings)‹ erzählt genau davon.
Von dem Monotonen und den kurzen Erschütterungen.
Das bewegte Bild ist das Rohmaterial eines Films,
eines Videos. Bei ›Ersatztitel‹ ist das nicht so. Das Ausgangsmaterial
ist ›Moire (Strings)‹ . Das Audiodokument
wurde zerlegt. 25 mal pro Sekunde. Danach wurden die
kurzen Stücke umgewandelt in Bilder, interpretiert von
Bildern. Was bei diesem Prozess enstanden ist zeigt
›Ersatztitel‹. Die Erschütterung der Monotonie.
Jens Rudolph, *1981 in Schmalkalden, studierte von
2001 bis 2002 Soziologie an der Ludwig-Maximilian-University,
München. Seit Oktober 2002 Studium Mediengestaltung
an der Bauhaus-Uni Weimar.
Life´s monotony sometimes is scattered. Sometimes things unexpected
happen. Sometimes the monotony is interrupted. For a
short moment everything has changed. But only for a brief
moment. Jan Jelineks ›Moire (strings)‹ tells this exactly. Of the
monotony and the short interruptions.
The moving picture is the raw material of film and video. In
›Ersatztitel‹ it is not like that. The raw material is ›Moire
(strings)‹. The audio document was divided. 25 times per second.
Afterwards the short pieces were converted into pictures, interpreted
by pictures. The result of this process shows ›Ersatztitel‹.
The staggering of the monotony.
