›KODAMA‹ - MISCHIEVOUS ECHOES

›Kodama‹ sind Waldgeister, die nicht von menschlichen Augen gesehen werden können. Sie leben im Wald und
lauschen heimlich unseren Stimmen. ›Kodama‹ sammeln menschliche Stimmen und fangen sie in Luftblasen ein. Sie
verstecken sich, wenn sie überrascht werden. Wenn ›Kodama‹ keine Menschen wahrnehmen fangen sie an, mit den
im Wald zurückgebliebenen Stimmen zu spielen. Wenn sie jemanden wahrnehmen, verstecken sie sich mit den Stimmen
und warten darauf neue zu sammeln. Unter uns gesagt: Die ›Echos‹ sind die schelmische Art der Waldgeister,
mit unseren Stimmen zu spielen. Also: Pssst!
Hisako K. Yamakawa, * 1977 Aichi (Japan), absolvierte die Kyoto City University of Arts, mit dem Abschluss
Bachelor in Kunstwissenschaft und erhielt 2003 ihren Master am IAMAS Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences,
in Gifu (Japan).
›Kodama‹ are tree fairies that can't be seen by human eyes. They live in the forest listening quietly to your voice. ›Kodama‹ collect
human voices and trap them in a bubble of air. They hide themselves in surprise when they feel a person's presence. When ›Kodama‹ don't
sense any humans they start to play with the voices that have been left in the forest. If they do notice someone they hide themselves with
the ›voices‹ and wait to collect new. Just between you and me, actually the ›echoes‹ are the mischevious way that tree fairies ›Kodama‹
play with your voice. Shh!
Hisako K. Yamakawa, *1977 Aichi (Japan), graduated with a Bachelors degree of fine arts in sculpture from Kyoto City University
of Arts, and then completed her Masters degree at the IAMAS Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences in Gifu (Japan) in 2003.
