Lobo Pasolini
›Dieses Video entstand aus dem Wunsch heraus, Bänder zu produzieren, die auf Improvisation und Elementen der
Performance-Kunst aufbauen. Die Ideen stammen von alten ungeschnittenen Filmen und dem Improvisationskino
von Paul Morrissey und Jim McBride. Ich wollte im buchstäblichen Sinn des Wortes einige Ideen auf dem Bildschirm
erforschen, deshalb der Gebrauch der Grafik als Anspielung auf die Schlagwortkultur der 60er Jahre und die, in
Anlehnung an die Idee der Novelle Vague, kapitalistische Arbeitsbeziehung als Form der Prostitution. Gleichzeitig
wollte ich zeitgenössische Themen wie Globalisierung, Firmen- und Starkult-Kultur anreißen. Mich faszinierte
immer schon das Interviewformat, einschließlich Vorstellungsgesprächen. Deshalb kam ich auf die Idee, diese Form
zu benutzen, um die Rolle des Film- oder Videoregisseurs zu reflektieren, indem man die Kamera (und damit den
Zuschauer) in einen nicht-diegetischen Darsteller verwandelt.‹ (Lobo Pasolini)
Antonio Pasolini (alias Lobo Pasolini), *1969. Seit 1996 bin ich brasilianisch-italienischer Filmemacher/Schreiber/Journalist
in London. Ich habe einen MA in Film und Fernsehen von der University of Westminster, London
(2000) und einen BA in Journalismus von der University of Espirito Santo, Brasilien (1994). 1995 und 1998 erhielt ich
Stipendien vom Kunstrat der Stadt Vitória, Brasilien. 1998 wurde mir der Preis für das beste Video auf dem Vitória

›This video came out of a desire to produce tapes based on improvisation and elements of performance art. I got some inspiration from
vintage direct cinema and the improvised cinema of Paul Morrissey and Jim McBride. I wanted to explore some ideas quite literally on
the screen, hence the use of graphics to make an allusion to 1960s sloganism and the Novelle Vague-ish idea of capitalist work relations
as a form of prostitution. I also wanted to touch on contemporary issues such as globalisation, corporate and celebrity culture. I've
always been fascinated by the interview format, including job interviews, and I thought it could also be used as a way to reflect on the
role of the director in a film or video by turning the camera (and therefore the viewer) into a non-diegetic character.‹ (Lobo Pasolini)
