Ein Video über das ›fremde Vertraute‹ bzw. das ›eigene Fremde‹ einer ›erfühlten Heimat‹. Das<br />
Video basiert auf sehr intimen Beobachtungen, die ich während der Vorbereitungen und traditionellen<br />
Rituale anlässlich der Hochzeit meiner Cousine in Tunesien aufnahm. Ein sehr subjektiver<br />
Bericht einer bewusst nichtdokumentarischen, also imaginären Reise oder auch eine fiktionale<br />
Dokumentation. Der besuchte Ort dient als eine Projektionsfläche, auch für eigene Wunschbilder<br />
nach einer ›unberührten Kultur‹, repräsentiert also eine erfundene oder imaginäre Geographie.<br />
Ein traumartiges, düsteres, filmisches Konstrukt eines einzigen endlos gedehnten,<br />
heißen Tages - nur über Gesten, Gesichtausdrücke und vor allem Geräusche lässt sich ahnen,<br />
worum es gehen könnte...<br />

A video about the ›strange familiar‹ or the ›own foreigner‹ of a ›felt homeland‹. The video is based on very intimate<br />
observations, which I filmed during the preparations and traditional rituals on the occasion of the wedding<br />
of my cousin in Tunisia. A very subjective report of a consciously not-documentary, thus imaginary journey or<br />
also a fictional documentation. The visited place could be occupied also with own projections after an ›unaffected<br />
culture‹, thus represents an invented or imaginary geography. A dream-like, dark, cinematic construct of an endlessly<br />
stretched, hot day - only through gestures, face expressions and - above all - noises one can guess what it is<br />
maybe about...<br />
