Telcosystems
›Aussicht von einem treibenden Floß‹ komponiert das
Bild aus horizontalen Streifen (Skyline), die zunächst
auch einen Horizont im unteren Bereich ausbilden,
dann aber in flirrenden Wechseln, stetigen Vibrationen
das gesamte Feld füllen. Diesmal sind es eher die Linien,
die sich bewegen, denn die Farben. Das Ausserhalb des
Bildes durchlebt Tages- und Nachtrhythmen, die auch
dem Bild eine Strukturierung ermöglichen. Die gebrochene,
aufgerissene Melodie treibt das Visuelle weiter,
der Kontrast provoziert beinahe einen fröhlichen Blick.

Karø Goldt, *1967 in Günzburg, Österreich. 1998
Diplom an der Schule für künstlerische Photographie in
Wien. 2003 Stipendium des Bundeskanzleramtes in New
York. Diverse Ausstellungsbeteiligungen in Berlin, Wien,
Paris, Barcelona etc. im Bereich Fotografie, Fotofilm und
Objekt seit 1995. Lebt in Berlin und Wien.
›View from a floating raft‹ composes the image with horizontal
stripes (a skyline) which at first form a horizon in the lower portion
of the picture. Then, in rapid and irregular alternations, constant
vibrations, they fill the entire field. This time the lines tend
to move rather than the colors. The rhythms of night and day
alternate in the space outside the picture, at the same time
enabling it to take on a structure. The broken, torn-up melody
drives the visual aspect, the contrast provokes a nearly cheerful
sight. The space occupied by the images is an open one. (Marc

Ästhetik Computer-Generierter Bilder mit einem hypnotischen
Soundtrack. Telcosystems untersucht die
Beziehung zwischen programmierter Zahlenlogik und
ihrer Übertragung auf die physikalische Welt und sucht
eine individuelle Erzählung in der Welt abstrakter
Raumbilder und Ton. Crosslinx hat einen klaren und
nüchternen Ästhetizismus, der eng verbunden ist mit
der Computertechnologie, die ihn hervorbringt. Bild und
Ton bilden virtuelle Welten, die sich entsprechend der
von Telcosystems programmierten Regeln entwickeln.
Telcosystems ist ein Kollektiv, das besteht aus Gideon
Kiers, *1975 in Amsterdam und Lucas van der Velden,
*1976 in Eindhoven. Beide studierten an der Fakultät
für Bild und Ton der Königlichen Akademie der Visuellen
Künste in Den Haag. Sie gründeten 2001 Telcosystems.
Ihre Arbeit umfasst Filme, Videoclips, Live
Performances, Software, Soundtracks und Drucke.
Aesthetic of computer-generated images, with a hypnotic soundtrack.
Telcosystems investigates the relationship between programmed
numeric logic and a translation of it to the physical
world, looking for an individual narrative in the world of abstract
spatial image and sound. Crosslinx has a clear and sober aestheticism
that is closely related to the computer technology used to
generate it. Image and sound form virtual worlds that develop
according to the rules programmed by Telcosystems.
Telcosystems is a collective formed by Gideon Kiers,
*1975 in Amsterdam and Lucas van der Velden, *1976 in
Eindhoven. They both studied at the Faculty of Image and Sound
of the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague. They founded
Telcosystems in 2001. Their work comprises films, video clips, live
performances, software, soundtracks and prints.
