klarer wird uns auch, wie fragmentarisch und unvollständig
sie sind.‹ (Paul Virilio, Ästhetik des Verschwindens)
›Inside The Video Dome‹ ist die Beobachtung und
Zusammenfassung eines Sendetages auf einem Nachrichtenkanal.
Diese Arbeit möchte auf die fragmentierten
und zerstückelten Bild-Nachrichten hinweisen, welche
uns anscheinend das Gefühl vermitteln ein gut informiertes
Bild der Welt zu haben. (Die Werbeblöcke
mischen sich auf der Soundebene mit ein, welche bei
dieser Arbeit generell in schlechter Tonqualität zu hören
ist, was den fragmentarischen Charakter der Nachrichteninformation
unterstreicht.)

›Inside The Video Dome‹ is the observation and summary of a
daily transmission on a news channel. This work would like to
refer to the fragmentary and carved-up picture messages which
give us the apparent feeling of a well-informed picture of the
world today. (The advertising blocks also interfere with the sound
level, which is generally of a bad quality in this work, to underline
the fragmentary character of the news.)

Communication Design (Film and Video) at the Merz Akademie -
Hochschule für Gestaltung Stuttgart since 2001.
›Lose your mind‹ taucht ein in die dunklen Bereiche
des Internets und dessen Verständnis. Spieltrieb und
Neugier verbinden sich mit Verschwendung und Unterhaltung.
Während man meint es zu schaffen, vergisst
man es zu können.

understanding. Play instinct and curiosity merge with dissipation
and entertainment. While you think you will cope with it,
you forget that you can.
