Diese Arbeit beginnt an dem Tag, an dem Mai Yamashita
und Naoto Kobayashi ein extragroßes Bonbon in der
Größe einer Bowlingkugel erstellten (Durchmesser
180mm). Seit diesem Tag lutschen sie das Bonbon ungefähr
ein halbes Jahr lang, Tag für Tag. Während sie lutschen,
finden viele Ereignisse statt (Wechsel der Jahreszeiten,
Umzug nach Berlin, ...). Mit dem Ziel, ein Bonbon
zu erhalten, das die Größe eines handelsüblichen
Bonbons besitzt, lutschen sie immer weiter.
Mai Yamashita, *1976 und Naoto Kobayashi, *1974
haben beide an der MFA, Tokyo National University of
Fine Arts and Music studiert.
This work began on the day when Mai Yamashita and Naoto
Kobayashi had made a extra big candy like a bowling ball by theirselves
(diameter 180mm). Since that day, they had been licking the
candy day after day for about six months. While they were licking,
a lot of episodes happened (change of the seasons, move to
Berlin,...). They kept licking with the aim of creating an ordinary
candy, which seems just like a candy on the market.

both have studied at MFA Tokyo National University of Fine Arts
and Music.
Sissis Gesang in der Monitorbox erweckt Gefühle des
Amüsements sowie der Befangenheit. Eine dunkelhaarige
junge Frau bewegt sich vogelartig, ruckhaft auf einer
Stange wippend vor und zurück. In sich versunken und
fragend blickend, bricht plötzlich ein inbrünstiges Zwitschern
aus ihr heraus.

und ESBA Genève in Medien Fotografie, Video, Performance,
Installation.
Sissi's twittering in a monitor box revokes feelings of amusement,
delight and bias. A young brown haired women, moving forwards
and backwards on a perch, lost in thought with a queringly
look, all of the sudden breaks out into fervently singing of a bird.
