Yang Zhenzhong, *1968, absolvierte sein Studium an
der China Academy of Fine Arts, lebt und arbeitet in
Shanghai, China. Seine Arbeiten sind international ausgestellt
worden, z.B. an der 50sten Venice Biennial, im
Mori Art Museum (Tokio), im Seattle Art Museum, im
National Museum of Contemporary Art (Oslo), im Centre
Pompidou (Paris), im Shanghai Art Museum, im Kunstmuseum
Bern und im National Art Museum Of China
(Beijing).

Yang Zhenzhong, *1968, graduated from the China Academy
of Fine Arts, lives and works in Shanghai, China. He has exhibited
internationally including at the 50th Venice Biennial, the

Museum of Contemporary Art (Oslo), the Centre Pompidou (Paris),

In der Hauptrolle von ›Spider‹ spielt eine Gruppe choreographierter
Darsteller, die identische, anonyme Masken
und Körperkostüme tragen. Es spielt in den Büros
einer der größten chinesischen Überwachungsfirmen.
Wang Jiawei, *1958, absolvierte sein Studium an der
China Academy of Fine Arts, und lebt und arbeitet in
Beijing, China. Die Videoarbeiten von Wang Jianwei, ein
konzeptioneller Künstler, durchlaufen die ganze Skala
von dokumentarischen Produktionen bis theatralischen
Beiträgen und untersuchen oftmals die Machtbeziehungen
innerhalb Chinas wandelnder gesellschaftlicher und
wirtschaftlicher Landschaft. Seine Arbeiten sind auf der
Documenta X, ICA London, im Haus der Kulturen der
Welt (Berlin), im Museum of Modern Art (New York)
und in zahlreichen weiteren internationalen und nationalen
Ausstellungen und Festivals gezeigt worden.
›Spider‹ features a group of choreographed actors in identical,
anonymous masks and bodysuits, performing in the offices of one
of China's largest surveillance companies.
Wang Jiawei, *1958, graduated from China Academy of
Fine Arts, lives and works in Beijing, China. A conceptual artist,
Wang Jianwei's video works run the gamut from documentarystyle
productions to more theatrical efforts, often exploring the
power relationships within China's changing social and economic
landscape. His work has appeared at the Documenta X, ICA London,
the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), the Museum of
Modern Art (New York) and numerous other international and
national exhibitions and festivals.
