Emergency Stationary Internal Combustion EnginesExpiration Date:<strong>Permit</strong> No. 13120September 12,2013Page 183 of 291EU 17.21 40 CFR 60.4207(b)(7/11/06)EU 17.22 40 CFR 60.4209(a)(7/11/06)EU 17.23 40 CFR 60.4211(a)(7111/06)EU 17.24 40CFR60.4211(c)(7/11/06)Beginning October I, 20 I 0, owners and operators ofstationary CIICE subject to this subpart with adisplacement ofless than 30 liters per cylinder that usediesel fuel must use diesel fuel that meets therequirements of40 CFR 80.510(b) for nonroad dieselfuel.The owner or operator of an emergency stationary CIinternal combustion engine must install a non-resettablehour meter prior to startup of the engine.The owner or operator must operate and maintain thestationary CI internal combustion engine and controldevice according to the manufacturer's writteninstructions or procedures developed by the owner oroperator that are approved by the engine manufacturer.In addition, owners and operators may only changethose settings that are permitted by the manufacturerand must also meet the requirements of 40 CFR parts89,94 and/or 1068, as they apply to you.Owners or operators of a 2007 model year and laterstationary CI internal combustion engine and mustcomply with the emission standards specified in 40CFR 60.4204(b) or 40 CFR 60.4205(b). Owners oroperators of a CI fire pump engine that is manufacturedduring or after the model year that applies to the firepump engine power rating in table 3 to this subpart andmust comply with the emission standards specified in40 CFR 60.4205(c), must comply by purchasing anengine certified to the emission standards in 40 CFR60.4204(b), or 40 CFR 60.4205(b) or (c), as applicable,for the same model year and maximum (or in the caseof fire pumps, NFPA nameplate) engine power.
