Emergency Stationary Internal Combustion EnginesExpiration Date:Permit No. 13120September 12,2013Page 184 of291EU 17.25 40 CFR 60.4211(e) Emergency stationary lCE may be operated for the(7/11106) purpose of maintenance checks and readiness testing,provided that the tests are recommended by Federal,State, or local government, the manufacturer, thevendor, or the insurauce company associated with theengine. Maintenance checks and readiness testing ofsuch units is limited to 100 hours per year. There is notime limit on the use of emergency stationary ICE inemergency situations. Anyone may petition theAdministrator for approval of additional hours to beused for maintenauce checks and readiness testing, buta petition is not required if the owner or operatormaintains records indicating that Federal, State, or localstandards require maintenance and testing ofemergency ICE beyond 100 hours per year.
