MONITORING, MAINTENANCE, AND RECORDKEEPING Pennit No. 13120Expiration Date: September 12, 2013Page 198 of291(v) Cyclones, Baghouses, Vacuum Producers, andAbrasive Blast BoothsBoeing shall inspect the cyclones, baghouses, vacuum pumps, and abrasive blastbooths, which exhaust to the outside atmosphere, as described below. If theinspection is required by an NOC Order of Approval permit condition, the inspectionshall be conducted according to the frequency specified in the Order of Approval.Otherwise, Boeing shall inspect each unit at least monthly, except as provided underSection V.P Data recovery of this permit. However Boeing may reduce theinspection frequency to at least once per calendar quarter if one or more of thefollowing apply:1) The unit is rated at 2000 cfm or less;2) The vacuum system's primary function is to provide hold-down vacuumfor parts on router tables or other equipment, or to provide vacuum for useby shop employees to clean up metal shavings and other miscellaneousdcbris in shop work arcas; or3) The vacuum system provides vacuum for curing of composite parts withinvacuum bags.• Boeing shall conduct visible emission inspections of the control equipment.Inspections are to be performed while the equipment is in operation duringdaylight hours. If during such inspections visible emissions other thanuncombined water are observed from equipment, Boeing shall, as soon aspracticable but within 24 hours of the initial observation:1) Take corrective action, which may include shutting down the lmit or activityuntil it can be repaired, until there are no visible emissions (or until the unitor activity is demonstrated to be in compliance with all applicable opacitylimitations in the permit using the reference test method); or2) Determine the opacity using the reference test method, or3) Observe for a minimum of 15 minutes, or until visible emissions have beenobserved for a total of 45 seconds, whichever is a shorter period. Ifvisibleemissions other than uncombined water are observed from a single unit orBoeing-Everett <strong>Permit</strong>, issued September 12, 2008; Administrative Amendment 3: October 10, 2012
