There is only one certain example of a dative infinitivefrom a stem in tya i-tyai to :go.7. More than thirty-five are datives (almost restricted tothe KV.) of stems in dhya, which is added to verbal stemsending in a (generally accented) e. ; g. iya-dhyai to go {Vi),gama-dhyai to go, cara-dhyai to fare, saya-dhyai to lie(s/si), stava-dhyai to praise (v/stu); piba-dhyai to drink( v/pa), prna-dhyai to fill ( v^pr), huva-dhyai to call ( -/hu) ;vavrdha-dhyai ^to strengthen ; nasaya-dhyai ^disappear, vartaya-dhyai ^ to cause to turn.to cause toa.Only one of these infinitives has been noted in B. :sadhyai toconquer (\/sah).
