announced by the Minister<br />

<strong>of</strong> Finance these transfers<br />

were stopped on 30 June<br />

2006, but an amount <strong>of</strong><br />

Rm36,710 was still owed by<br />

the <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Defence</strong><br />

to the Regional Service<br />

councils.<br />

7. Public private partnerships<br />

7.1 No formal Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) have been concluded in the DOD. The following<br />

progress are reported regarding identified PPP projects:<br />

7.1.1 SA Air Force. The DOD is still in the process <strong>of</strong> appointing a transaction advisor to conduct a<br />

feasibility study with respect to the viability for the commercial co-use <strong>of</strong> Air Force Base Ysterplaat<br />

in Cape Town.<br />
